Leendert "Leonard" Gansevoort (July 14, 1751 – August 26, 1810) was an American political leader from New York who served as a delegate to the Continental Congress in 1788. Born in Albany in the Province of New York, Gansevoort studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1771. Glass factory established in 1785 in Guilderland, New York, by Leonard De Neufville, as the Dowesborough or Dowesburgh Glass House. The company was reorganized in 1795 as MacGregor and Company, and subsequently, as Thomas Mather and Company; name changed to Hamilton Manufacturing Society in in 1796.
